A shorter, guided clay workshop designed for children’s birthday parties. Young makers create their own clay pieces using simple hand-building techniques, choosing between small animal figurines or a pinch pot such as a small mug or bowl.

The birthday child chooses the workshop format in advance. If selecting the animal figurine option, they also choose one animal for the first step-by-step demonstration. This allows the session to start promptly and keeps the activity focused and structured. If the pinch pot option is selected, the demonstration covers the basic technique, allowing each participant to personalise their shape and decoration.

Depending on time and interest, an additional demonstration may be included, giving young makers the opportunity to try more than one approach. Young makers are encouraged to experiment and make multiple pieces during the session. At the end, each child selects one favourite item to be glazed and and kiln fired.

This workshop is a guided creative activity rather than a childcare service. A responsible adult must remain present throughout the session, and supervision of participants remains with attending adults. This helps ensure a relaxed and safe environment while the focus stays on making and creativity.
